Certified quality – whether 3-A, EHEDG, ATEX, or ISO 9001

EHEDG is the abbreviation for the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group. Like the US 3-A Sanitary Standards, this organization aims to improve food safety. More than 400 experts from the food industry, mechanical engineering and research develop guidelines and provide practical instructions for implementation in line with hygienic design.

Through authorized test laboratories, the EHEDG issues certificates for tested components that meet the requirements. HYGHSPIN twin screw pumps are EHEDG-certified. At the same time, they also have 3-A certification. Designs based on the ATEX directive are also possible.

The 3-A certificate is awarded by the American company 3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc. (3-A SSI). It evaluates the design of pumps and other equipment according to hygienic design criteria.

3-A is the most important certificate for the US food industry. HYGHSPIN screw pumps are 3-A certified. They also have EHEDG certification. In addition, they can be designed in accordance with the ATEX directive.

The abbreviation of the French ATmosphères EXplosibles refers to a directive on explosion protection.

In the European Union, only devices, components, and protective systems that comply with ATEX may be used in potentially explosive atmospheres. All HYGHSPIN twin screw pumps can be manufactured in accordance with ATEX guidelines if required.
