CHEMSPIN ATEX twin screw pumps -
Flexible, universal, and safe for potentially explosive areas
CHEMSPIN twin screw pumps can also be used in ATEX zones 1, 2, 21, and 22. Depending on the pumping temperature, temperature classes T2 to T4 can be achieved. The contactless delivery principle is advantageous here. The CHEMSPIN ES with extended feed screws can also be supplied as an ATEX version.
The ATEX concept consists of the following measures:
- Use of pressure-resistant encapsulated motors for speed control
- Monitoring of surface temperatures by sensors on the pump housing and bearing bracket
- Ensuring seal temperatures through a monitored flushing system for double-acting mechanical seals
- Prevention of dry running through monitoring of single-acting mechanical seals
- Breakthrough couplings or spark suppression by couplings in oil bath
- Non-sparking contact protection for base plate units
- Grounding connections for potential equalization
Units that are safe-to-run dry or dry run safe can be supplied with the appropriate shaft seals.
